Skilled Migration
York Immigration Services Australia can assist applicants who wish to migrate to Australia under the skilled migration stream. We assess the merits of each application and advise on the chances of success or otherwise of each application based on points scored for the appropriate category.
York Immigration Services Australia can help you assess whether you meet the requirements for migration to Australia. As part of our comprehensive services, we assist you in gaining recognition for your previous work experience and qualifications with the relevant assessing bodies. At every step of the process, York Immigration Services Australia provides complete assistance in order to achieve a successful outcome for your visa application. Visa applications are lodged with the appropriate branch of the Department of Immigration, and individualised submissions highlighting the strengths of your application are prepared for each and every immigration application. The submissions provided by York Immigration Services Australia assist the departmental officers to promptly and accurately assess your application.
We recognise that you may be at different stages in your career, and will advise which visa is most suitable for your needs.
To be eligible for a skilled migration visa, applicants should:
- Be under 50 years of age when applying;
- Have sufficient fluency in English to work in Australia (with certain occupations requiring a higher standard of English);
- Have suitable post-secondary (such as university or trade) qualifications (although in a small number of occupations substantial relevant work experience alongside an appropriate course of training may be an acceptable substitute for post-secondary qualifications);
- Nominate an occupation which fits their skills and qualifications and appears on the Department of Immigration's Skilled Occupations List (View Skilled Occupation List); and
- Have recent work experience in the nominated occupation (unless they have completed an Australian qualification in the previous 6 months).
